Almost every day since the age of nine, I have folded a paper crane. Over the past decade, that paper bird has become synonymous with my identity and my brand. That’s the thing about branding. While it’s inherently creative and visually compelling -- it should also be authentically “you”. Simple, yet powerful.
Like my childhood ritual, I’m passionate about creating beautiful designs from the blank canvas. I’m also great with messes, so feel free to bring me those too. I’ll fix them.
My name is Carly Fridhandler, owner of Paperbird. I am a Montreal-based designer with over 14 years of experience working with global and local brands from Canada to Australia. I've had the privilege of working for brands such as Lululemon, Walmart, Airbnb, Dell, Adidas, Nivea, Cirque de Soleil, and Mastercard. My work has been seen in publications such as Marie-Claire Magazine and I-D (Vice). I have extensive experience in creative direction, project management, photography, and multidisciplinary design. In keeping a client-first philosophy at the centre of my business, I partner with companies to create compelling brand stories.
